A former Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback is listing his home in one of the richest postcodes in the United States for $8million.

Chris Simms – the NBC broadcaster, ex-quarterback and son of Super Bowl champion Phil Simms – has put up for sale a massive estate in Greenwich, Connecticut.

The property for sale sits on four acres of land – with much of it used for equestrian purposes.

Simms and his family have lived in Greenwich for some time, previously selling a home in the same neighborhood for just under $2.7million.

The former quarterback and his wife, Danielle, wanted more space for their horses and found it in this property with three horse stalls, a tack room and three paddocks.

As for the home itself, the 3,700-square-foot farmhouse features a large main level with lots of gathering and living space.

Built in 1725, the home ‘blends historic authenticity with modern luxury,’ according to listing agent Monica Webster of Douglas Elliman.

It features wide-plank antique floors and exposed wood beams throughout the main gathering spaces – including a living room, family room and media room. Those spaces also feature preserved brick fireplaces.

While the home is historic, the kitchen is modern – with white color featured throughout the cabinets and the island with a built-in sink.

The primary suite is featured at the back of the main floor – featuring cathedral ceilings in both the bathroom and bedroom. Between those two rooms features a bespoke dressing room with a staircase leading up to a private office.

The home is listed as having five bedrooms and five bathrooms in total. Elsewhere in the home is a fully equipped gym as well as a rec room.

In addition to the space for horses outdoors, a historic barn has been turned into a party space. There’s also a pool with a pool house attached – featuring a kitchenette.
