Guyana Amazon Warriors have been in most CPL finals

They made their first-ever appearance in the first season in 2013, where they succumbed to the Jamaica Tallawahs by seven wickets in Port of Spain. It set the stage for several heartbreaks near missing in the subsequent years. In 2014, 2016, 2018, and 2019, Warriors found themselves in the final but on each occasion fell at the last hurdle to come out as losers.

In conclusion, it was 2023 when disappointments of the past finally came to an end and Warriors came out successful with their first-ever CPL title with a nine-wicket win over Trinbago Knight Riders in Guyana.

The Trinbago Knight Riders, after Guyana Amazon Warriors, have been the next to the final, reaching that vibe times, hence one of the consistent performers in the history of the CPL event. They have tasted success on four of those occasions, hence stamping their authority as one of the forces within the league.

The Jamaica Tallawahs and Barbados Royals have qualified for the final four times. The Tallawahs have won three of their finals while the Royals have triumphed twice but were also runners-up on two occasions.

The St Kitts & Nevis Patriots have also reached the final twice and won once in 2021.

On the cards will be those very teams when, from August 30, CPL 2024 kicks in—eyeing to add to their tally of final berths leading up to claiming the much-coveted throne. Will Guyana Amazon Warriors continue further their run of consistency, or is there a new team coming up? The battle for supremacy is is about to begin!
