Bruce Prichard: Bray Wyatt Was ‘Challenging’ But A ‘Joy’ To Work With

Bruce Prichard has opened up about his experience working creatively with the late Bray Wyatt following his return to WWE in 2019. Speaking on his Something To Wrestle podcast, Prichard described the unique challenge of collaborating with Wyatt, whose concepts often pushed the boundaries of traditional wrestling reality.

“Bray was challenging. I loved it. Very challenging man, creative, beyond creative. A guy who’s whose mind was somewhere else all the time, and very challenging and just so much fun, because you could get out there on that plane with him, and then you just started. The absurdity of it all made it so easy, but difficult at the same time, because you’re trying to explain to someone that, no, this isn’t real. We’re in his mind. Nobody else can do that,” Prichard said.

‘He Would Just Fight’

Prichard recalled having intense debates with Wyatt regarding the direction of his character and the logic behind the “Firefly Fun House” segments.

“I enjoyed [it]. God, [I] loved working with Bray. It was and frustrated, too, man. We had some spirited conversations, great conversations that just was, like, No dude, he would just fight. And after a while you had to let him in, you know, all those personalities. Man, they were all they were all in his head and trying to explain the concept of no what you’re looking at, you’re not looking at a fun house. Man, this isn’t real. You are now inside Bray’s head. And whether that came across or not, that’s what it was. He was a friggin joy…it was incredible.”
