Former WWE NXT Champion Oba Femi made his first appearance on the WWE main roster in the Men’s Royal Rumble Match during the 2026 Royal Rumble premium live event (PLE). Femi entered the match at #1, lasting for 39 minutes and eliminating five competitors before being eliminated by Brock Lesnar. Since then, there has been considerable speculation that Femi and Lesnar might face each other at WrestleMania 42 in April, although the match has not been officially announced.
According to BodySlam+, sources indicate that discussions are ongoing regarding the match for the Show of Shows, but it is not yet finalized. Femi is still officially listed as a free agent, with initial creative plans suggesting he would be placed on the RAW roster. He has made appearances on both the RAW and SmackDown brands, where he recently defeated the War Raiders on RAW and responded to Kit Wilson’s open challenge on SmackDown, winning in less than a minute. Femi is currently advertised to appear on next week’s RAW, while Lesnar is scheduled for the March 23rd RAW.
WrestleMania 42 will take place on Saturday, April 18th, and Sunday, April 19th, at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event will be broadcast on ESPN Unlimited in the U.S. and on Netflix internationally. So far, the only officially announced match is CM Punk vs. Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship.
