KAYLA HARRISON OUT OF THE UFC 324 AGAINST AMANDA NUNES
Las Vegas, NV (January 15th, 2026)– Kayla Harrison has been forced to withdraw from her UFC 324 co-main event title defense against Amanda Nunes, which was scheduled for January 24, 2026. The fight was postponed after Harrison underwent emergency surgery on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, to repair herniated discs in her neck. While the matchup has not been officially canceled, reports indicate Harrison could be sidelined for at least six months, and the UFC intends to rebook the bout for later in 2026.
A bantamweight clash between former champion Sean O’Malley and Song Yadong has been promoted to the co-main event slot.
The women’s flyweight bout between Rose Namajunas and Natalia Silva, who is replacing an injured Alexa Grasso, has been moved from the prelims to the main card.
While the UFC plans to wait for Harrison, both Norma Dumont and boxing champion Amanda Serrano (2-0-1) have publicly offered to step in and face Nunes on short notice.
