Allegiant Stadium Announces Discount For WWE WrestleMania 42 Tickets

WWE WrestleMania 42 ticket deals have officially begun as Allegiant Stadium announced a special holiday weekend offer. The venue posted a promotion earlier today offering 25% off select tickets for the two-night event in Las Vegas.

This move comes as reports indicate internal concern within WWE regarding ticket movement. On February 12, WrestleVotes via Fightful Select reported that an all-departments meeting was held to address ticket sales that have been lower than expected. As of late January, distribution was around 36,000 tickets per night, about 10,000 tickets behind the pace set by WrestleMania 41 at the same point last year.

Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the slow sales have led to a re-evaluation of the entire card. The report suggests that different opinions within the creative team regarding the direction of the show have caused frustration. While some believe the company should stick to current plans because they are creatively strong, others are pushing for changes to build more momentum.

One notable direction currently listed internally involves Brock Lesnar. Despite a face-off with Oba Femi at the Royal Rumble that received a crowd reaction, Lesnar is reportedly slated to face LA Knight. Lesnar is scheduled to return to television on the February 23 episode of Monday Night Raw in Atlanta to begin his path toward the event.

The road to WrestleMania 42 has featured several shifts, including a change in location. The Rock originally announced that the event would take place in New Orleans, but plans were later moved to Las Vegas. This marks the first time since WrestleMania IV and V that the event has been held in the same venue in consecutive years.

On the current television landscape, CM Punk is scheduled to defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Roman Reigns, given that he retains against Finn Balor at Elimination Chamber. In the women’s division, Liv Morgan is expected to challenge Stephanie Vaquer for the Women’s World Championship, while the winners of the Elimination Chamber matches are set to meet WWE Champion Drew McIntyre and Women’s Champ Jade Cargill.
