Andy Butchart delivered another encouraging comeback sign with a fine half marathon run in Spain,
The double Olympian clocked 61.45 in the Barcelona Half Marathon for a new Personal Best (in 20th place in a high class race).
Butchart thus moves to second on the Scottish all-time list as he continues to target 10,000m on the track at the Commonwealth Games.
Laura Muir was in road race action in Europe, too. Laura clocked 15.12 to finish fourth in a 5k race in Monaco.
Scots in America continue to impress in track and field.
Thrower Angela McAuslan-Kelly is a serial event winner since moving to Princeton and did so again once again in the Weight Throw.
Angela posted a new PB throw of 20.25m and that is a Scottish indoor best in this event.
In New Mexico, Rebecca Grieve and Brodie Young maintained their excellent starts to 2026 over 400m.
Rebecca ran a Commonwealth Games qualifying standard with her PB of 51.71 – third all-time on the Scottish rankings. Brodie ran 45.59 to again break 46 seconds.
In Boston, Jamie Phillips clocked 1:47.22 for sixth best all-time and Duncan Robinson, with 7:48.13, moved sixth on the indoor 3000m rankings all-time.
