It will be a showdown between two former college stars when Ethan Quinn and Rafael Jodar collide in the Delray Beach Open first round on Tuesday.
Quinn is much further along in his progress on the pro tour, which is understandable since he is 21 years old and Jodar is only 19. The American and former NCAA singles champion is up to No. 70 in the world thanks in part to a third-round performance at the Australian Open (beat Tallon Griekspoor and Hubert Hurkacz both in straight sets).
Jodar is playing well, but the Spaniard won a grand total of just three games against Denis Shapovalov in the Dallas Open first round last week. Quinn has home-court advantage and should cruise in front of the home crowd.
Pick: Quinn in 2
