🥈 Second Place – Beach Gossip

Nine Line Apparel was officially crowned the People’s Choice Champion, earning top honors and a cash prize, presented live at Stadium Court during the 2026 Delray Beach Open. Beach Gossip finished a close second, impressing voters with its vibrant and imaginative tennis-themed display.

Launched in partnership between the Delray Beach Open — an internationally televised ATP 250 tournament and Legends event held annually at the Delray Beach Stadium & Tennis Center — and the Delray DDA, the “Love at First Sight” competition invited Downtown Delray Beach businesses to transform their storefronts into tennis-inspired works of art.

Inspired by tennis’ iconic “love” score and the Valentine’s Day timing of the tournament, participating retailers incorporated the event’s aqua-and-yellow color palette, romantic motifs, and Delray Beach flair into their window designs.

Over the past three weeks, Downtown Delray retailers embraced the challenge, creating eye-catching displays that brought the energy of the tournament into the heart of the city’s walkable downtown. Community members and visitors cast hundreds of votes through the DDA’s digital voting platform, making the competition a true celebration of local spirit and small business creativity.

“The competition was fierce, the creativity was incredible, and Downtown Delray Beach has absolutely come alive with tennis spirit,” said Laura Simon, Executive Director of the Delray DDA. “This inaugural contest exceeded expectations and showcased the unique energy that makes our downtown so special.”

With more than 60,000 fans attending the Delray Beach Open each year and broadcast exposure in more than 185 countries, the competition created a meaningful opportunity for local businesses to align with one of the city’s most beloved signature events.

Organizers encourage residents and visitors alike to stop by Atlantic Avenue to see the winning displays in person and continue supporting Downtown Delray Beach retailers throughout the tournament.

Congratulations again to Nine Line Apparel, Beach Gossip, and all participating businesses who helped make the first-ever Love at First Sight Window Décor Competition a resounding success. The contest will return next year, according to organizers.
