RAM’s potent pickup truck will make its Forza debut in Forza Horizon 6.
After showcasing the Maserati MC20 in a dedicated trailer earlier this week, Playground Games has unveiled another new car for Forza Horizon 6: the 2024 Ram 1500 TRX.
Launched in 2021, the potent pickup packs a supercharged 6.2-litre HEMI V8 producing a monstrous 702 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic. Ram claims this makes it “by far the fastest and most powerful production gas pickup truck in the world.”
With a claimed 0-60 mph time of 3.7 seconds, it’s absurdly fast, coupled with rugged styling and 11.8 inches of ground clearance, making it a capable off-roader.
The V8-powered pickup set to appear in Forza Horizon 6 was discontinued after the 2024 model year, replaced by a redesigned, more powerful 2027 model rated at 777 hp to rival the Ford F-150 Raptor.
While the Ram Rebel TRX concept featured in Forza Horizon 4, this will be the first time the production version has appeared in a Forza game.
It’s one of several new-to-Forza cars in the sixth instalment, including the BMW M2 Competition Coupé, Honda e and Hyundai IONIQ 5 N. Several returning cars are also being rebuilt with higher-quality modelling.
Set in an open-world recreation of Japan, Forza Horizon 6 will release on Xbox Series X|S and PC in May and feature over 550 cars at launch, with a PlayStation 5 release planned later in the year.
