Super Rugby Americas 2026 – Week One – ARN Guide

The opening round of Super Rugby Americas (SRA) 2026 has arrived. The South American professional league begins for 2026 with two Friday matches and concludes with two Saturday matches. All eight teams will begin their SRA campaigns looking for a strong start to the new season.

SRA 2026 comes with teams, staff and players lacking the pressure from 2025 as the Rugby World Cup Qualifiers have come and gone. They saw Chile and Uruguay joining Argentina at  the Australia hosted tournament.

SRA 2026 is the sixth season of the South American professional league. Changes from 2025 see the arrival of a new franchise from Argentina: Los Capibaras. The Rosario-based side is the fourth from Argentina which means Argentine teams account for 50% of the franchises for the first-time.

Los Capibaras debut at home against the most successful team in the history of SRA Peñarol. The fixture will be the fourth, and final, match of the opening week of the season. It will be one of three matches in Argentina in week one.
