Major League Rugby have booked SeatGeek Stadium for their 2026 Championship Final to be held on Sunday, June 21, at 6pm local time. The venue serves as the home for the Chicago Hounds, and is located at Bridgeview in the southwest of the city. It previously hosted the 2023 Final that had a reported attendance of just over 10,000.
The Final comes one week after the Semi Finals, which will both be played on June 14. With only six teams competing in the league this year the post-season will include two-thirds of its participants. The Hounds enjoyed their most successful season to date in 2025 and missed out on an Eastern Conference title and a trip to the Final by the width of a goal-post.
SeatGeek Stadium has a capacity of 20,000 and features a natural grass pitch. It welcomed the Hounds in 2023, and is also the home of two professional soccer teams – the Chicago Stars and Chicago Fire II. The 2025 MLR Final took place at Centre-Bank Stadium in Rhode Island.
MLR’s regular season kicks off at the end of March. It will be the league’s shortest schedule since the inaugural 2018 campaign. The 2020 season was shut down after 5 weeks due to the pandemic.
