Former Ghana international Frank Acheampong has completed a move to Chinese Super League outfit Dalian Yingbo FC ahead of the 2026 campaign.
The 32-year-old winger joins Dalian on a free transfer after parting ways with Henan FC at the end of the 2025 season, bringing to an end a productive spell with the club.
Acheampong enjoyed an outstanding final season at Henan, scoring 14 goals and providing three assists to reaffirm his reputation as one of the most dangerous wide attackers in the Chinese topflight.
His pace, direct style and eye for goal made him a key figure throughout the campaign.
Despite efforts by Henan to tie him down to a new contract, the former RSC Anderlecht star opted for a fresh challenge with Dalian, who are keen to strengthen their squad as they aim to compete strongly in the upcoming league season.
Acheampong also played a pivotal role in Henan’s run to the Chinese FA Cup final last term. However, they fell 3-0 to league champions Beijing Guoan in the decisive clash.
A 2015 Africa Cup of Nations finalist with Ghana, Acheampong brings vast experience and attacking quality to Dalian, with expectations high that he will add firepower and leadership to the team in the new season.
