American stars continue to dominate the spotlight at the 2026 Delray Beach Open, with a full slate of Thursday matchups featuring homegrown talent, rising international prospects, and primetime showdowns on Stadium Court. Here’s what to know heading into another packed day of action at South Florida’s much-loved ATP 250.
American Grandstand
There is at least one American playing in every match on Wednesday. It’s no surprise, with a record-tying nine Americans into the second round of singles.

The one all-American singles match features No. 8 seed Frances Tiafoe versus qualifier Zachary Svajda in their first meeting.
Primetime All the Time
Thursday’s second-round matches are primetime-worthy all day. Former NCAA doubles champions for Ohio State Robert Cash and JJ Tracy start things off on Stadium Court, followed by fourth seeded Learner Tien, fresh off a quarterfinal appearance at the Australian Open, against defending champion Miomir Kecmanovic.

That’s followed by Mr. Primetime himself, No. 8 seed Frances Tiafoe. Fan favorite Tommy Paul kicks off the night matches, which finish with world No. 8 and two-time champion Taylor Fritz against Next Gen star Rafael Jodar.
Another Spanish Rafa
Rafael Jodar is living up to his namesake and idol so far. The 19-year-old, who earned the Next Gen entry into the Delray Beach Open, won the 2024 US Open boys’ title and was the 2025 college tennis National Rookie of the Year at Virginia.
Now a pro, he qualified for the Next Gen ATP Finals at the end of last year, where he defeated eventual champion Learner Tien in the group stage, won 10 of his first 11 matches of 2026 and qualified for his first Grand Slam at the Australian Open where he won a five-set match.
Doubles Field Update
The team of Miomir Kecmanovic / Brandon Nakashima has withdrawn due to a Nakashima low-back injury. Opponents Benjamin Kittay and Ryan Seggerman advance with a walkover.
