In the seventh episode of “Belgian Division One Transactions For 2026” we merge the transactions of the two Wallonian teams into one blog post, simply because the transactions are minimal and a single blog post for each team would be very short.
Namur Angels:
Namur finished the season after playing in the bottom four
competition with an 11-23 record.
According to Christophe Heymans, no transfers happened regarding the Division One team of the Namur Angels. The club welcomed thirteen new players from outside the club, but those were additions for their Division Two and Division Four teams. Thanks to the addition of so many players to the lower teams, the Angels now have a surplus of Division Four players, so entering a second team into Division Four was necessary.
Christophe told the Dutch Baseball Hangout that the club is waiting for an anwer of a possible import player from abroad.
Phoenix Mont-Saint-Guibert:

Phoenix MSG finished the season after playing in the bottom four competition with a 17-17 record.
Head coach Christophe Dassy informed the Dutch Baseball Hangout that except for one player, no transactions happened regarding the Division One team. Phoenix will add Oreste Garcia Pupo, who comes from Braine Black Rickers, the club that demoted to Divisinion Two at the end of the 2025 season voluntarily. Garcia Pupo hit a solid .389 in 2025 in Division One. There is a pool of talented young players waiting to be added to the flagship team. But, even though he loves to give young players a shot, Christophe won’t add a player at all costs. He will look if a talented player is a good fit for the team.
Christophe’s son, won’t be playing much for the flagship team during the upcoming season. He will play in the US for Columbia State CC (Community College) in Tennessee. After the college season, he will join a summer league, so there is only a slim chance that he will join Phoenix Mont-Saint-Guibert.
I would like to thank both Christophes for the much needed information they provided for this blog post.
