Janel Grant is raising serious concerns about how her situation may have extended beyond legal filings and into WWE programming itself.
While addressing her ongoing case involving WWE, Vince McMahon, and TKO, Grant pointed to what she says were noticeable similarities between her real-life experience and a storyline that aired on WWE television. According to Grant, the overlap didn’t go unnoticed by fans or media watching closely.
“And in the summer of 2024, reporters and viewers noticed there were parallels between a storyline that unfolded for several months on television and my situation.”
Grant framed this as more than coincidence, suggesting that the situation reflects deeper issues about how the company operates and responds when serious allegations are involved. She questioned what it says about the workplace environment if personal experiences can seemingly be echoed on screen.
“So, does it look like we work in a safe environment when the destination point if you’re hurt is weaponized use of your experience on live TV every Monday night for months by their actions and by their reactions? That says a lot more about current leadership than it says about me.”
As the case continues to unfold, this allegation puts additional scrutiny on WWE’s leadership and decision-making, especially when it comes to how sensitive situations are handled both publicly and on television. Grant’s perspective raises broader questions about accountability and whether entertainment content should ever intersect with real-life allegations in this way.
