Suryakumar Yadav joins the fun, hilariously mocking Babar-Rizwan
Now, the trolling reached its peak when Suryakumar Yadav turned heads during India’s training ahead of the Super 8 clash against South Africa on February 22 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The stylish Indian batter performed hilarious squats, mimicking Babar and Rizwan’s odd stretching routine, but kept a serious face, making it even funnier.
Interestingly, players like Rinku Singh and Arshdeep Singh around Suryakumar Yadav were not even smiling when the Indian captain was mocking the Pakistani stars. Fans could not stop sharing clips of Suryakumar’s deadpan imitation, calling it the highlight of India’s pre-match practice.
Mohammad Kaif questions Suryakumar Yadav’s captaincy ahead of Super 8 round
Meanwhile, former India cricketer Mohammad Kaif has questioned Suryakumar Yadav’s captaincy. He feels that having many left-handers in the top order could make it easier for the opposition to plan their bowling in the Super 8 round of the tournament.
Kaif also highlighted concerns about Hardik Pandya batting at No. 5. Traditionally, Hardik has batted lower down the order, and moving him up could create new challenges for both him and the team.

Why is Hardik Pandya batting at No.5?
Kaif said in a video on the YouTube channel, “Why is Hardik Pandya coming at number five? Hardik Pandya does not usually bat at number five. In Delhi, he played at number five against Namibia because there were many left-handers. So, due to the left-right combination, he had to move up the order to balance left- and right-handers. This is an issue because with so many left-handers, it becomes a bit easier for the opposition team to plan.”
The Indian all-rounder has so far scored 87 runs in four matches at an average of 21.75 and a strike rate of 155.35 in the tournament. With the Super 8 stage approaching, Kaif feels India will need smart changes and flexible strategies to stay unbeaten and keep their momentum going.
