CM Punk is once again honoring Larry — and this time, it’s for a milestone that means everything to him.
On February 20, 2026, Punk took to Instagram to mark what would have been the 10th anniversary of rescuing his beloved dog from PAWS Chicago. Sharing photos of Larry, Punk reflected on the decade they shared together and the day he and AJ Lee first brought him home.
“Happy gotcha day, or birthday. Today is ten years since we rescued Larry from @pawschicago and a good excuse to post these pics. That first one is such a favorite of mine.”
Punk explained how Larry became part of every aspect of their lives. He also thanked fans who have shown support in the weeks following Larry’s passing, including those who contributed to charity efforts in his name.
“We tried to bring him everywhere and experience everything. Thank you to everyone who made a sign for him these last months. Thank you to all who bought some @piecechicago pizza in his name.”
The pizza reference connects to Punk’s recent partnership with Piece Pizzeria and PAWS Chicago, where a custom pizza called “The Larry” helped raise funds for homeless animals. Each sale triggered a donation to the organization that originally helped unite Punk and Larry.
And in true Punk fashion, he closed with a heartfelt — and slightly Chicago-flavored — message encouraging adoption.
“Please consider adopting if you want a dog, and be careful in the streets, you never know who is lurking behind the hedges. Larry forever.”
Larry passed away in December 2025, with Punk previously sharing an emotional post about being by his side in his final moments. Now, on what would’ve been his 10th year since adoption, Punk is making sure his memory lives on — not just through pizza fundraisers, but through adoption awareness and personal reflection. Larry may be gone, but it’s clear he’s not forgotten.
