The February 20 episode of WWE SmackDown was quite an episode. Next week’s show will be the go-home before the Elimination Chamber in Chicago, and the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Kentucky, will host the show as the blue brand returns to the USA Network.
Candice LeRae and Jordynne Grace will have a match next week. That was set up in a tense backstage interaction this week as Johnny Gargano planked on that crate that WWE has backstage until Elimination Chamber.
Rhea Ripley and IYO Sky will also put their WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles on the line against Nia Jax and Lash Legend next week. This is a match that they’ve been building toward for a bit, and now the Irresistible Forces will have a chance to prove themselves.
Oba Femi and The Miz will have a match next week. This started when The Miz offered to show The Ruler the ropes. Then Oba said he would go to Nick Aldis to see about making that happen. Of course, The Miz wasn’t thrilled about that development.
Solo Sikoa will take on Uncle Howdy next week. That may be the end of the Wyatt Sicks and MFT rivalry, but it may also just be the beginning. After all, Solo wants to keep that lantern away from Howdy.
This should be an entertaining show. The Elimination Chamber will go down on February 28 in Chicago. We will have full coverage of the entire show here at Ringside News.
Only time will tell what else WWE adds to SmackDown next week. They are very close to Elimination Chamber, and the road to WrestleMania will be an exciting one as we race toward Vegas.
