The prestigious Hundred 2024 is all set to witness the final match between Oval Incredibles and Southern Braves. In this tournament, Afghan stars Rashid Khan and Navven ul Haq showcased excellence. After having a successful stint with their respective franchises, the duo returned to their homeland. The Afghanistan Cricket Board has shared an update on their arrival to Kabul. 

Afghani Duo’s Arrival After Successful Franchise Stint:

The recent schedule for the Afghan stars was tight. Right after participating in the IPL 2024, they all headed into the T20 World Cup. the recent edition of the tournament went outstanding for them. For the first time ever, the team qualified in the T20 World Cup’s semifinal stage. After that, they became busy in other franchise cricket. 

Rashid Khan and Naveen ul Haq participated in the Major League, Global T20 Canada, and also in the Hundred 2024. In those franchise leagues, the duo showcased their talent and helped teams to achieve their target. Rashid’s Performance in the Hundred for Trent Rocket was exciting.  

Star all-rounder Rashid Khan has been ruled out of the 2024 Men’s Hundred due to a hamstring injury he sustained while attempting to save a boundary. He missed several matches due to this injury. Rashid Khan and Naveen ul Haq have now returned to Kabul. The Afghanistan Cricket Board has released a video of their arrival, highlighting their return to the country.

But now the Afghan cricket fans are enjoying another thrilling tournament. The Afghanistan Sphageeza T20 League 2024 is going on. Afghan cricketers across the globe are participating in this tournament. Naveen ul Haq is all set to join the Band-e-Amir Dragons after missing the initial games. On the other hand, Rashid Khan’s participation with Speenghar Tigers is still not confirmed. 

After that, another exciting series is lined up for them. Afghanistan and New Zealand will face off in a one-off Test match in India this September, marking their first encounter in red-ball cricket. The match is scheduled to take place from September 9 to 13 at the Greater Noida Sports Complex Ground in India.
