The Octagon returns to Texas for tonight’s UFC Houston event, a 14-bout fight card headlined by Sean Strickland vs. Anthony Hernandez.
Strickland (29-7 MMA) will be returning to action for the first time since losing a unanimous decision to Dricus Du Plessis in a fight for the promotion’s middleweight title 12 months ago at UFC 312 in Sydney, Australia. Prior to that setback, the former middleweight title holder had defeated Paulo Costa by way of split decision at UFC 302.
Meanwhile, Anthony Hernandez (15-2 MMA) will enter tonight’s headliner on an eight-fight winning streak, his most recent victory coming over Roman Dolidze via submission this past August. ‘Fluffy’ has finished four of his last five fights, with his lone decision win in that stretch coming against Brendan Allen.
UFC Houston is co-headlined by a welterweight contest featuring Geoff Neal taking on Uros Medic.

Neal (16-7 MMA) will enter the bout looking to rebound, this after suffering a brutal knockout loss to Carlos Prates in his most recent Octagon appearance this past August at UFC 319. Prior to that setback, ‘Handz of Steel’ was coming off a TKO victory over Rafael dos Anjos in October of 2024.
Meanwhile, Uros Medic (12-3 MMA) will enter this evening’s contest sporting a two-fight win streak, this after earning back-to-back knockout wins over Muslim Salikhov and Gilbert Urina in his most recent efforts. ‘The Doctor’ has gone 3-2 over his past five Octagon appearances overall.
If that wasn’t enough to get you interested, tonight’s UFC Houston main card also features a featherweight bout between Dan Ige and Melquizael Costa.
Ige (19-10 MMA) will be returning to action for the first time since suffering a unanimous decision loss to Patricio Pitbull at last July’s UFC 318 event in New Orleans. Prior to that setback, the Hawaiian had earned a TKO victory over Sean Woodson at UFC 314.
Meanwhile, Melquizael Costa (25-7 MMA) has gone a perfect 5-0 in his most recent Octagon appearances, his most recent effort resulting in a TKO victory over Morgan Charriere this past December. The Brazilian has finished three of his past five opponents during that impressive stretch.
