Faulk was a four-star recruit in the class of 2023 who stayed in the state of Alabama to play for Auburn. He had 3.5 tackles for loss and one sack for a good start to his career as a freshman. Faulk built on that in 2024 with 11 tackles for loss and seven sacks. While the team didn’t have success in 2025, Faulk played well despite the stat line not improving. He had five tackles for loss and two sacks.
Following the 2025 season, Faulk declared for the 2026 NFL Draft. He is currently projected to be a first-round pick.
Keldric Faulk Strengths
Faulk has great size for an NFL edge rusher, but also moves well for his size. He stands at 6-foot-6 and 285 pounds, making him one of the bigger edge defenders in the class. With his size comes solid strength and length, which he knows how to use well. Faulk is a bigger edge rusher, but he moves pretty well for his size. He has ok speed and athleticism, especially given his size.
He has been a good run defender during his college days. His ability to anchor and set the edge can really help his teammates make plays on the ball. Faulk uses his good play strength to stack and shed blocks. After he sheds, he is able to find the football and then has good pursuit. Faulk finishes plays with solid tackling.
He has the versatility to rush the passer from the edge or on the inside. Faulk has some progress to make as an edge rusher, but a lot of times at Auburn he lined up on the inside or as the defensive end on a three-man front. He has solid size to hold up on the interior, but also is athletic enough to be a mismatch for guards. Faulk can push the pocket and provide more athleticism on the interior than defensive tackles.
Keldric Faulk Weaknesses
His pass rush production hasn’t been the greatest in his college career. He had just 10 sacks over his three seasons at Auburn. Faulk can power rush, but struggles to bend around the edge due to his lack of flexibility. He has some pass rush moves, but he has to work on making those and his counter moves more effective.
Faulk is a bit of a tweener, as he is a bigger edge rusher, but doesn’t have a lot of production. He can rush from the inside, but if he wants to hold up on all downs, he will likely need to add some weight to help hold up against the strength of guards. Faulk can be a good player, but picking a clear path forward at one position could be better for him.
He isn’t the most flexible for an edge rusher. Faulk can struggle to bend around the edge and get to the quarterback. It also limits his lateral mobility. He sometimes struggles to counter and go inside after attacking the outside shoulder of an offensive tackle.
