The official time of stoppage was 1:45. Perkins is now the WBA light heavyweight world champion with the victory. This is her first time winning a professional world title.

Both women connected with hard shots early in the opening round. Perkins applied constant pressure that overwhelmed her opponent. Kenneally sought to counterpunch while being on the backfoot, but struggled to keep the challenger off her. Perkins began showboating, a sign that she felt comfortable with how things were going.

A left hook followed by a hard right upstairs dropped Kenneally in round six.
