Saraboyukov 845 WL, Werro 1:57.27 WL
BELGRADE (SRB, Feb 11): Another European long jump battle and 12 meeting records (one equalled) highlighted the Belgrade Indoor Meeting (WIT Gold) in the sold out hall. Bozhidar Saraboyukov set a world lead of 845 MR/NR (823 – 826 – x – 829 – 845 – x) in the long jump and defeated Miltiadis Tentoglou (827), Carey McLeod (822) and Finland’s Kristian Pulli (808, best since 2021). Audrey Werro delivered another big solo in the 800m crowned by a world lead of 1:57.27 MR/NRi, Austria’s Caroline Bredlinger finished a distant second (2:01.80).
Zaynab Dosso equalled her 60m EL of 7.02 MR (also 7.05 MR in heats) to win from Amy Hunt (7.09 =PB) and Geraldine Frey (7.19). Dominik Illovszky improved 27-year old Hungarian record in the 60m with 6.52 MR, winning ahead of Ireland’s Toluwabori Akinola (6.54 NR), Jenns Fernández of Cuba (6.55, 6.54 in heats) and Bulgaria’s Hristo Iliev (6.66, 6.54 NR in heats).

Jakub Szymański dominated the 60m hurdles in 7.43 MR/EL ahead of Daniel Roberts (7.57) and Enzo Diessl (7.60 PB). Roger Steen topped the shot put with 22.07 MR over Jordan Geist (21.51) and Chukwu Enekwechi (21.28). High-quality home wins by Angelina Topić in the high jump with 196 =MR ahead of Montenegro’s Marija Vuković (194) and again improving Iryna Gerashchenko (191), Ivana Španović the triple jump (14.27 MR) and Milica Gardašević the long jump 661. Other wins for Denmark’s Ida Beiter Bomme in the 60m hurdles (7.96), Joceline Wind of Switzerland in the 1500m (4:08.87 MR), Tshepo Tshite in the 3000m (7:50.87 MR), with Armenia’s Yervand Mkrtchyan fourth (7:55.51 NR), while Jean-Paul Breadau (46.42) and Alexander Doom (46.84) won the two 400m races.
