A classic Vauxhall-Opel hatchback has been teased for inclusion for Super Woden: Rally Edge.

A new car is coming to Super Woden: Rally Edge, and it’s one European General Motors fans will instantly recognise.
The Cinder Clair is an homage to the Opel Kadett E GSI, which is near-identical to its British equivalent, the Vauxhall Astra GTE.
Both front-wheel-drive cars were campaigned in national events across the continent, with the Astra finding success in the hands of Louise Aitken-Walker and Tina Thörner, 1990 FIA Ladies’ World Rally Champions.
Group A Astras were pushed to the limits by the likes of Malcolm Wilson and the mercurial Dave Metcalfe in competition, and on the continent, the Kadett became a German Rally Champion in the hands of Sepp Haider and Ferdinand Hinterleitner. The pair also impressively won the New Zealand round of the World Rally Championship in 1988.
On-track, the Astra/Kadett was also a success, with the 16V Astra claiming the overall 1989 British Touring Car Championship for John Cleland, as Mike Briggs took the Kadett to multiple South African Touring Car Championships.
Four-wheel-drive
A four-wheel-drive version was mooted, but fell by the wayside as rally’s Group B rules were scrapped (embarrassingly, some of the prototypes used Ford-derived Zakspeed engines). It was then adapted into a Dakar Rally contender before being developed into a rallycross machine by John Welch.
Rally Edge is the successor to ViJuDa’s Super Woden GP 2, and has been a refreshingly fun take on the rally genre, scoring a 9/10 in our review.
Although initially released on PC, console versions are in the works, with more unannounced content set to follow.
