Central Nationwide standings after week 8

Kenya Prisons top the table Central Nationwide standings with 30 points after registering six wins. MKU Thika are close behind with 25 points, having won five matches and lost once.

Meru University sit on 19 points with four wins and one loss. Their fixture against Karatina University was postponed, but they have managed to secure three bonus points so far.

Dedan Kimathi University have accumulated 17 points despite losing three matches, boosted by two bonus points. Embu RFC occupy fifth position with 15 points following their dominant 28-00 victory over Tharaka University, marking their third win of the campaign.

Meru RFC and Chuka Vikings are tied on 12 points each, with point differences of +32 and +63 respectively. Both sides have lost one match in the competition.

Murang’a Trojans have collected 10 points from two wins and three losses. They earned two bonus points, including a narrow 07-06 win over Kirinyaga Stallions.

EDITOR’S PICKS:

Olive Rugby have 8 points, winning two matches and losing three, though they are yet to secure a bonus point. Karatina University have also recorded two wins and currently sit inside the top 10 standings.

At the lower end of the table, Kirinyaga RFC, Kiambu RFC and Tharaka University have all registered negative point differences of -132, -182 and -137 respectively. Kirinyaga RFC have managed three points, while the other two sides remain further adrift on the standings.
