AJ Styles Shares Wholesome Update After WWE Retirement

AJ Styles recently shared a look at his life after his WWE retirement. The former WWE Champion had his final match against Gunther at the Royal Rumble 2026 on January 31. Now, he is enjoying a more meaningful chapter focused on family.

Styles made his monumental WWE debut at the 2016 Royal Rumble. 10 years later, he chose the same event to say goodbye. During his last appearance on WWE RAW in Atlanta, he left his gloves and jacket in the ring. In that episode, Styles gave an emotional speech about his career and made a painful admission about the sacrifices he had to make as a parent.

However, it seems like he has already started compensating for his parental role.

AJ Styles Gives Fans a Lighthearted Look at Retirement Life

Styles posted a wholesome image on social media showing his daughter, Anney, doing his hair. The former WWE Champion showed the back of his head as he joked that this is what retirement looks like, getting his hair styled by his daughter. He captioned, “What are you doing now that you’re retired? Well, I’m currently getting my hair done by my daughter. ?”

The picture shows that The Phenomenal One is now a full-time dad.

AJ Styles has openly talked about how tough it was to balance wrestling and family life. Years on the road meant missing birthdays, games, and other big moments for his four kids. Now, retirement gives him more time with his wife, Wendy, and their children.

Fans and fellow wrestlers filled the comments with love and jokes. Nia Jax and Maxxine Dupri were among the few, while some fans teased Styles about his old “soccer mom” hairstyle from Chris Jericho’s “The List” segment.

But even though he is done wrestling in the ring, he is not done with WWE. Styles will be working with young talent and helping train future stars. He has said that mentoring the next generation at the Performance Center has always been a goal of his.

He will also serve as a company ambassador. On the February 23, 2026, episode of RAW, The Undertaker announced that Styles will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2026 during WrestleMania weekend.
