The bulk of the USA’s top overseas players have gathered in England for a three-day alignment camp. New Women’s Eagles Head Coach Jack Hanratty will put 24 players through their paces as the squad takes some early steps together ahead of the Pacific Four.
All but a handful of the names ply their trade in the English Premiership. The exceptions include four front rowers – Ireland-based hookers Saher Hamden and Sam Brackett, Cardiff Met prop Liz Cook, and Grenoble prop Mikaela Hall. Dartmouth College star Annie Henrich is the only domestic attendee, joining older sister Emily in the squad.
Four notables are listed as unavailable – Exeter prop Hope Rogers, Bordeaux lock Hallie Taufo’ou, Loughborough midfielder Alev Kelter, and Saracens wing Lotte Sharp. The Eagles will reconvene on US soil in late March before opening their season against New Zealand in Sacramento on April 11.
