Liverpool will face Turkish giants Galatasaray in the last 16 of the Champions League.
The Reds finished third in the 36-team group phase table and will now face the Super Lig champions in the first knockout round, following the draw on Friday morning.
If they can negotiate their way past Galatasaray, Arne Slot’s side will face either Premier League rivals Chelsea or Champions League holders Paris Saint-Germain in the quarter-finals.
Next up for Liverpool in the Premier League is a game against West Ham United on Saturday afternoon, but in the meantime it is emerging that the Merseyside outfit have agreed a deal to sell one of their most talented youngsters.
As per Paul Joyce, Liverpool have agreed a deal to sell teenager Trent Kone-Doherty to Norwegian side Molde.
It is claimed that the 19-year-old is set to join the Norwegian giants with a deal having been completed, subject to international clearance.
Kone-Doherty joined Liverpool’s academy from Irish side Derry back in 2022 and has since impressed for the Reds’ youth sides.

He made his professional debut for Liverpool in the Reds’ shock FA Cup defeat against Plymouth Argyle last season, and has since featured in the Carabao Cup for Slot’s side.
Molde are said to have paid a fee of around £658,000 to sign the teenager, who can operate on either flank but has primarily featured on the left for Liverpool’s youth sides.
The Premier League champions have included two clauses in the deal, Joyce claims, namely a buy-back clause and a sell-on clause which will see the Reds pocket a percentage of the fee as and when Kone-Doherty is next sold.
