Poker’s first major online series of the year, PokerStars prestigious Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) returns this Sunday, bringing three weeks of elite online poker action and 400 individual trophy tournaments where career-defining SCOOP titles are up for grabs.
Running from March 1 to 25, SCOOP will feature a packed schedule of 136 events across Low, Medium and High buy-in tiers (400 total tournaments) ranging from $5.50 to $15,000, ensuring players of all bankrolls can earn their greatness on online poker’s biggest stage.
The series, which will award more than $45 million in guaranteed prize pools, will start with a bang with the iconic Sunday Million on March 1, awarding a total of $1.6 million in guaranteed prize pools across the three buy-in levels. The $215 buy-in Medium Sunday Million will award the huge $1 million prize pool, and the Low and High events will both offer $300,000 prize pools.
A wide range of tournaments including No-Limit Hold’em, PLO, 8-Game, Mystery Bounties, Turbo, and Deep Stack events are available making SCOOP accessible for everyone. The flagship Main Events will award a combined $5.5 million across the NLHE Main Events on March 22 and $550,000 across the PLO Main Events on March 23.
PokerStars Ambassadors will also be vying for SCOOP greatness while streaming all the action, including Spraggy who will be chasing his first SCOOP title, after coming close to earning an acclaimed title last year.
Players can qualify through satellites from just $0.55, the SCOOP Lucky Dip where $500,000 in SCOOP tickets are up for grabs, and the $55 Power Path Express SCOOP Edition on March 1 where more than $200,000 in SCOOP Power Passes and Main Event tickets will be awarded to boost players’ grind to greatness. Finally, there are still a few days to crack open a SCOOP Prize Vault and earn a SCOOP ticket worth up to $1,050 upon opt-in.
For 17 years, SCOOP has been regarded as the ultimate proving ground in online tournament poker, where both established stars and rising talents battle for prestige, prize money and a place in the game’s history.
