The 2026 Elimination Chamber saw Drew McIntyre screw Cody Rhodes out of the main event match. This resulted in WWE SmackDown Nick Aldis getting in McIntyre’s face in a big way, and then Aldis had an announcement.
Nick Aldis came out during the post-show and he made a big announcement. Drew McIntyre will defend the Undisputed WWE Championship against Cody Rhodes this Friday night on SmackDown.
McIntyre wasn’t happy about this turn of events at all. He immediately got in Nick Aldis’ face, and then security had to pull them apart from each other.
We will have to see what happens next. Nick Aldis and Drew McIntyre almost threw down. As tensions continue to build, it appears that McIntyre will have to prepare for a title defense very soon.
Randy Orton won the Men’s Elimination Chamber match. So, he will take on whoever walks out of SmackDown as champion.
