Big EIHL games scheduled on Sunday

Week 25 comes to a close with four games across Sunday.

Second-placed Cardiff Devils travel to face fourth-placed Sheffield Steelers at 4pm in a game that could have major implications for the title race. For one side, defeat could all but end their championship hopes. Steelers have endured a tough week, being knocked out of the Challenge Cup on Wednesday before losing to league leaders Belfast Giants on Friday. Devils arrive after a shutout win over Fife Flyers on Saturday to move into second place. Cardiff sit seven points off the lead having played a game more, while Sheffield are a further point back.

League leaders Belfast Giants visit basement side Fife Flyers from 5pm. The Giants picked up an impressive victory over Sheffield on Friday night, while the Flyers return home following a road trip to Cardiff that ended in defeat.

A big clash at the Storm Shelter sees Manchester Storm host Glasgow Clan. Storm, currently fifth, are seven points ahead of eighth-placed Clan, but the visitors need a win if they are to mount a late push toward the top six. Clan were big winners against Dundee Stars on Saturday, while Storm picked up a point in Nottingham after leading for almost 50 minutes.

The day is rounded out with Nottingham Panthers visiting Guildford Flames. Both teams won on Saturday night, moving the Flames into sixth and the Panthers up to third. Results elsewhere could see Nottingham end the night in second place, capping a strong week that also saw them reach the Challenge Cup Final.
