Tottenham ended up being booed off after losing 2-1 at Fulham as their winless league run extends to 10 games.
Fulham took an early lead when Kenny Tete sent a cross into the box, Oscar Bobb on hand at the far post and to place it into the danger area, with Harry Wilson there to put it past Guglielmo Vicario. Tottenham were unhappy, after Raul Jimenez shoved Radu Dragusin. VAR had a look, but the goal stood.
Alex Iwobi then doubled Fulham’s lead on 34 minutes after playing a one-two with Harry Wilson, sending a powerful shot away from Guglielmo Vicario and in off the post.
Spurs nearly found themselves 3-0 down before half time, failing to clear a corner, only for Calvin Bassey to strike one over the crossbar when left unmarked and in space six yards out.
Richarlison’s goal on 66 minutes set up a frantic finish, with captain Tom Cairney almost scoreing with his first touch off the bench, only to see the shot go just wide.
Igor Tudor’s side were unable to find that equaliser, with the result leaving Tottenham four points above relegation zone, and Fulham in ninth spot.
“Tudor is asking for consistency, but it is a completely different situation to last week.”

Spurs boss Igor Tudor speaking to Sky Sports: “We were not good, lacked everything. Attacking and defending. Fulham were much better. There are problems here, big problems. We need to stay calm, believe in what we are doing in training, and get out, staying all together.
“These are not things to speak outside, we speak in the dressing room. The problems are more complex [than attitude and commitment] second half was better, but the first half was not enough.”
On Fulham’s first goal: “Of course it’s a foul. Incredible mistake.”
On thoughts of relegation: “We are just thinking about the next game. We don’t need to think about that [relegation] not because it cannot happen, but we must focus on growing mentality as a team, concentration, physically. These are the only goals we must have.”
“Tottenham [Hotspur] barely laid a glove on them…” 🤕

Fulham boss Marco Silva speaking to Sky Sports: “It was a game for us to win in a different way in terms of goal-soring, the superiority was clear from the first half to last moments of the game. So many chances ,we were clinical first half, second half we created lot of chances.
“If you don’t kill the game with a third goal it’s always open if they sore one goal, and the did that. But I have to be delighted, creating chances like we did today shows quality. Creating the chances inside the box was top level from us.
“Defensively we did ok, we should have done better with the goal, but congratulations for the players. We deserved the three points, but we have to move on.
On the form of Harry Wilson: ” His quality, self confidence, that’s it. We have to keep going. The foot is on the gas, he is always there and working hard. He scored, but worked hard off the ball. He’s not just about scoring, assisting and being decisive in the front line, he works hard off the ball. I’m delighted with him. He is working very hard and when the moments come he delivers important things for us.
On Issa Diop coming into the team: “At this moment of the year [Ramadam] it’s not easy for players like him. He was not in the squad list, but we called him after the problem with Joachim [Anderson]. Issa was top.”
On Alex Iwobi: “He practices a lot, these type of moments. He prefers to finish moments with quality, pass to goal instead of power. What a goal for him. The finishing was top level. His overall performance was a very high level, he is having a great season.”
Silva speaking to BBC Match of the Day on Alex Iwobi’s goal: “It’s one of his best goals, he is capable to do these type of things. He is stronger when he tries to chose a corner and make a strong pass. It was a brilliant moment for him.
“It was a great performance overall, from an offensive point of view we enjoyed it – dynamic, creating chances, making it difficult for them.”
Michael Emons (BBC Sport at Craven Cottage):
Tottenham can maybe feel aggrieved at the opening goal when VAR judged Raul Jimenez’s push on Radu Dragusin was not enough to get the goal ruled out.
Spurs fans will be wondering how that was different to when Randal Kolo Muani’s ‘goal’ against Arsenal following a push on Gabriel was not allowed to stand.
But they only have themselves to blame for the second with Alex Iwobi given so much space to strike from the edge of the penalty area, with it going in off the post.
That’s six goals conceded in one match and 36 minutes under Igor Tudor – relegation form. Grumbles from the Spurs fans before the goal of ‘we want our Tottenham back’, but now just silence – they’ve seen this far too many times from their side.
Every shot missed from Spurs is greeted by the home fans taunting them with ‘that’s why you’re going down’.
Another miserable half for Tottenham – and it could and should have been worse with Calvin Bassey completely unmarked when standing on the edge of the six-yard box, only to fire wastefully over the top when it could’ve been 3-0.
Igor Tudor, who was “100” confident Spurs would stay up last week, is getting a reality check at just how bad his new side are. A lot of work to be done.
A massive team-talk at the break is needed. Fulham ahead and deservedly so.
Tottenham have been in the top flight in every year since the late 1970s. Make no mistake, they are in this relegation battle this year.
Igor Tudor’s side only had one shot on target, the one they scored with through Richarlison’s header, and only wasteful finishing from the hosts gave Spurs a chance of getting a point – which they probably didn’t deserve anyway.
But Fulham hang on for the three points and they are in the shake-up for a European spot.
Tudor has a lot of work to do to ensure Spurs stay up. Ten games to go, they are in trouble, four points above the relegation zone.
Here’s how social media users reacted with Tottenham booed off after losing 2-1 at Fulham as the winless league run extends to 10 games…
@SpursArmyTweets: Chants of “WE WANT ENIC OUT” and “ROMERO’S RIGHT, THE BOARD ARE SH*TE” from the away end at Craven Cottage. Followed by “WE WANT OUR TOTTENHAM BACK.” LOUDER! 🎶⬆️
@JoeF_E17: Football has that unique way of making you feel totally alone and part of a huge collective at the same time. I have to remind myself that this impending relegation won’t only affect me. #THFC #ENICout #COYS
@SeanRKelly: Not seen a worse Spurs side since the 1970’s and the relegation team. Remember thou , we can’t pay going rate wages or high transfer fees cause we might do a Leeds and get relegated .. Oh wait !!! #ENICOUT
@ForcedToTwitt: Enic. Built a big shiny building. Alienated a fan base. Killed a football club. Relegated @SpursOfficial #RIPTHFC
@thespursweb: “We want ENIC out” and “We want our Tottenham back” are the chants from the Spurs fans in the away end
@SeanOR7: We fucking finished 17th last season. We’re now heading for relegation. Two abysmal seasons in a row. This is now who we are… dog shit. An awful team with shit players, still a clueless manager and cunt owners. So fucking bleak. Hypothetically. I would 100% take relegation if it meant ENIC selling to new ambitious rich owners who want footballing success. Any current player could fuck off. Not fussed. Sign/keep players who want to play for this great club. ENIC gone. Start again. Our catastrophic situation didn’t need this random Croatian bloke. It needed an experienced coach to come in just for 3 months and steer the ship. Should have hired someone like Redknapp, Hoddle, Allardyce, even Southgate. Hiring this bloke might have put the nail in our coffin. I’ll tell you what is a truly catastrophic scenario. We get relegated and ENIC remain at the club. League One would be the next step. The club would be utterly destroyed.
Looking at the absolute state of this side one thing becomes clear.
It’s a top half Championship side at best.
That league is tough and just look at this gutless team of cunts.
Cowards, each and every one of them. pic.twitter.com/uUcmSkRjtN— Sean (@SeanOR7) March 1, 2026
The players should walk off the pitch.
Pure corruption and agenda against Tottenham Hotspur. @FA_PGMOL is a disgrace to the Premier League. pic.twitter.com/8q7ZT3Qca6
