The top three in the Kenya Cup witnessed a major shake-up over the weekend following Round Nine action played across the country, as the league phase edges closer to its conclusion.

They are now inching closer to securing a direct home semi-final. Kabras also remain the league’s best attacking and defensive side (since 2022/23), having scored an impressive 557 points while conceding just 82.

KCB Rugby climbed back to second place after spending the better part of the campaign in third. Their victory over Menengai Oilers at the Nakuru ASK Showground saw them move to 43 points. Despite remaining unbeaten this season, KCB have dropped points along the way, which keeps the title race tight.

Menengai Oilers slipped to third on the log and sit on 40 points. Gibson Weru’s charges suffered their first loss of the season and must now win their remaining matches to keep their hopes of securing a direct semi-final berth alive.
