Nearly five years after their exhibition match, Logan Paul is opening up about the lingering financial dispute with boxing legend Floyd “Money” Mayweather. Appearing on the JACKKK podcast, Paul claimed he is still owed money from their June 2021 encounter.
“No, I didn’t make as much money as you’d think fighting Floyd,” Paul said. “He still owes me a million and a half. Maybe more.”
The $10 Million Secret Deal
According to Paul, the issue stems from an alleged side deal Mayweather brokered before the fight even moved to a U.S. promoter. Paul claims Mayweather leveraged their combined “name and likeness” to secure an eight-figure cash payment from an international entity.
“He pre-sold the fight using my likeness to some company in I think Dubai or like the Middle East, this is my understanding of it, for 10 million dollars cash,” Paul explained. “We ended up doing the fight in the States with a different company. That is the company that put on the fight. That is the company that paid, but he sold our fight with my name and likeness to someone else in Dubai for 10 million dollars cash. It’s our fight, bro.”
“He Smoked Me”
Paul revealed that his contract entitled him to 15 percent of the earnings, meaning he is technically owed $1.5 million from that specific $10 million transaction. However, given Mayweather’s current myriad of legal battles—including a reported lawsuit from the very company that allegedly paid the $10 million—Paul is not optimistic about collecting.
“Our deal was 15 percent. He smoked me. So I got 15 percent of it,” Paul added. “15 percent of 10 million dollars is 1.5 million dollars. That company that paid him that money is suing him. I actually don’t know the status on that lawsuit. I should check in. He has a bunch of legal trouble at the moment. I don’t think I’m ever getting the money.”
This isn’t the first time Paul has publicly called out Mayweather over pay; the Maverick has been vocal about “missing checks” since 2022.
