Chelsea will hope to end their three-match winless run in the Premier League when they visit Aston Villa on Wednesday evening.

The Blues were held to draws by both Leeds United and Burnley in recent weeks, before losing 2-1 against league leaders Arsenal on Sunday.

That run of form has seen Liam Rosenior’s side drop from fourth to sixth, which could prove costly in the race to secure Champions League qualification.

Now, off the pitch it is emerging that one of Italy’s biggest clubs are eyeing a move to sign a player still on the books at Chelsea.

As per Gazzetta dello Sport, via CaughtOffside, Serie A giants AC Milan are hoping to sign striker Nicolas Jackson this summer and have made the player their top transfer target ahead of the window.

The report claims that those in charge of the Italian side’s recruitment are keen to bolster their attacking options during this summer’s transfer window and Jackson – who is currently on loan at Bayern Munich – has reached the top of their list of potential targets.

Jackson, 24, joined the Blues from Spanish side Villarreal in 2023 and scored 30 goals in 81 appearances for the west London side across the following two seasons.

He fell down the pecking order of forwards at Stamford Bridge last summer, though, following the arrivals of Joao Pedro and Liam Delap.

Since moving to Germany, the Senegal international has scored just five goals in 22 appearances for Bayern across all competitions.

While Bayern are not likely to sign the player permanently, the report suggests that Jackson is likely to depart Chelsea once again if he does return to SW6 this summer.

The Senegalese striker’s contract with the Blues is set to run until the end of the 2032/33 season.
