World of Warcraft: Midnight has finally opened its gates to all players, pitting us against Xal’atath and the countless voidspawn serving her. Season 1’s release date brings with it the first set of raid encounters that allow us to fight back against this cosmic threat as well as other activities that we can partake in between its start and end dates.
WoW: Midnight’s Season 1’s start date gives us several raids to tackle, in a departure from the MMORPG’s usual structure, alongside a new batch of Mythic+, Delve, and PvP seasons with new rewards.
World of Warcraft: Midnight Season 1 Release Date
World of Warcraft: Midnight’s Season 1 has locked in its start date to the week of March 17, 2026, which is when the bulk of its activities go live.
- World of Warcraft: Midnight Season 1 start date: March 17, 2026
- World of Warcraft: Midnight Season 1 end date: Summer 2026
Its end date is set to occur at some point just before or during summer 2026, as confirmed by Blizzard.
World of Warcraft: Midnight Season 1 Content
In terms of content, WoW: Midnight’s Season 1 debuts with two raids instead of the usual one. Voidspire and Dreamrift will be playable as early as March 17 on normal, heroic, and raid finder difficulties, the latter just for its first wing.
Over the course of the following weeks, more PvE content will be gradually unlocked, as reflected in the schedule shared by Blizzard:
March 17
- Voidspire – Normal, Heroic, and Raid Finder Wing 1
- Dreamrift – Normal, Heroic, and Raid Finder Wing
March 24
- Voidspire – Mythic, Raid Finder Wing 2, and Story Mode
- Dreamrift –Mythic
March 31
- Voidspire – Raid Finder Wing 3
- March on Quel’Danas – Normal, Heroic, and Mythic
April 7
- March on Quel’Danas – Raid Finder and Story Mode
Where Voidspire includes six bosses, Dreamrift is a shorter raid, comprised of a single boss encounter. March on Quel’Danas then pits us against two foes, including a fallen Naaru.
Blizzard also aims to introduce balance changes to the MMORPG’s classes as the raid offering expands, provided plans don’t change in the meantime.
World of Warcraft: Midnight’s Season 1 also triggers the start of a new Mythic+ season, whose dungeon pool includes eight dungeons, four from the latest expansion, four from older ones.
In terms of Midnight dungeons, we’ll have to master Magister’s Terrace, Maisara Caverns, Nexus-Point Xenas, and Windrunner Spire. The other four included are Algeth’ar Academy, Seat of the Triumvirate, Skyreach, and Pit of Saron.
Still in the PvE realm, although on the more solo-friendly side, a new Delve season is also scheduled to start on March 17, with 12 playable Delves and the iconic Valeera Sanguinar as a new companion.
Finally, PvP enthusiasts also have a fresh season to look forward to alongside new gear and mounts to claim. Furthermore, the 40v40 Slayer’s Rise battleground is also on its way, allowing us to shed the blood of our enemies across a void-scarred battlefield.
