Edward Fabian Awarded Life Membership of Little Athletics Australia

At the recent Annual General Meeting of Little Athletics Australia, Edward Fabian was awarded Life Membership of Little Athletics Australia, recognising his outstanding and long-standing service to the sport.

Edward was also inducted as a Coles Little Athletics Australia Hall of Fame (Volunteer) Inductee – 2024, a fitting honour for a volunteer whose contribution has spanned more than 33 years.

Throughout his involvement, Edward has been a committed and dedicated servant of Little Athletics, making significant contributions at local, regional, state, national, and international levels. As an official, he has officiated at multiple Australian Little Athletics Championships (ALACs) over more than two decades.

Edward served on the Little Athletics Queensland Board as Finance Director from 2000 to 2011, before progressing to the national level where he served on the Executive of Little Athletics Australia as Administration & Finance Director from 2012 to 2017.

His exceptional service has been recognised through numerous awards, including:

  • Distinguished Merit Award – 2009
  • Life Member – 2013
  • Volunteer of the Year – 2020
  • Official of the Year – 2023

Little Athletics Australia

  • Hall of Fame (Volunteer) Inductee

Edward’s passion, leadership, and dedication have had a lasting impact on Little Athletics in Queensland and across Australia.
