Festivities at the 2026 BNP Paribas Open got underway with the annual Eisenhower Cup mixed doubles event on Tuesday night.

Court 2 at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden saw eight mixed doubles teams battle it out in a Tie Break Tens format. Taylor Fritz and Elena Rybakina emerged victorious for the second straight year, beating the all-American duo of Learner Tien and Amanda Anisimova in the final.

It is Fritz’s third triumph at the Eisenhower Cup, having previously won with Aryna Sabalenka. Rybakina is now 2-for-2 in her Eisenhower Cup appearances. Both are former singles champions in Indian Wells, with Fritz taking the title in 2022 before Ryabkina lifted the trophy in 2023.
