Sky Sports’ Formula 1 television coverage of the 2026 season kicks off this weekend, and upon releasing its official list of its on-screen team, there is one notable individual missing.
The British channel, which has been the UK’s primary broadcaster of F1 since 2012, always boasts an extensive roster of ex-drivers as part of its team of analysts.
On Wednesday, the channel confirmed its on-screen team for the 2026 season, with the usual long line of accomplished pundits, such as Martin Brundle, Nico Rosberg and Jenson Button.
But former IndyCar and NASCAR driver, Danica Patrick, was not on the list.
Patrick was often deployed as one of its pundits for a number of races, including most of its US rounds.
But it appears that the 43-year-old will not have a presence for the channel this year.
Button will continue in what is thought to be an increased role, having retired from racing at the end of 2025, dovetailing it with his new position as an ambassador for the Aston Martin team.
The 2009 World Champion will be joined by fellow regulars Jacques Villeneuve and Naomi Schiff, as well as technical insight from former Aston Martin engineer Bernie Collins.
David Croft will once again share commentating duties with BBC Radio 5 Live’s Harry Benjamin.
Natalie Pinkham has confirmed that she will also return, having had to truncate her involvement towards the end of last year, due to undergoing neck surgery.
