Lola Vice is opening up about how her relationship with Damian Priest first began — and it turns out their love story started long before fans realized they were a couple.
While speaking with Denise Salcedo, the NXT star was asked about how her relationship with the WWE main roster standout began. Vice explained that before anything romantic happened, the two spent years building a connection as friends. She said their shared Latino background played a big role in how she first connected with Priest and why she always admired him inside WWE.
“We were always friends, and I always admired him. He was always one of my favorite wrestlers because, number one, we share a similar culture. He’s Puerto Rican from the Bronx and I’m Cuban from Miami. We have that Latino background, and I always felt like he represented being Hispanic in WWE in the best way I’ve seen.”
Vice also revealed that their friendship lasted around two years before things eventually turned into something more. “We were friends for about two years.” According to Vice, one key moment that strengthened their bond happened when she competed in a main event match on Monday Night Raw. She recalled Priest being there to support her and offer advice during that time.
“I did a main event match on Raw, and I remember he was there giving me advice. I actually met him at the Performance Center.”
Eventually, the friendship evolved when the two decided to spend time together outside of WWE — starting with a simple dinner that changed everything: “Then one day I agreed to go to dinner with him, and the rest was history.”
This gives fans a clearer picture of how the relationship began. While Priest and Vice have kept their romance relatively private, they’ve occasionally shared glimpses of their life together — including holiday photos and travel moments that fans have loved. Now that Vice has finally shared the backstory, it’s clear the relationship wasn’t a sudden spark — it grew out of years of friendship inside WWE.
