On Friday, March 13, ProBox TV returns to Osceola Heritage Park in Kissimmee, Florida, for another action-packed installment of The Contender Series beginning at 7:00 p.m. EST.
The 10-round main event will feature undefeated light heavyweight contender Najee Lopez (15-0, 12 KOs) of Ellenwood, Georgia, taking on dangerous Mexican veteran Manuel Gallegos (22-3-1, 19 KOs) of Los Mochis, Sinaloa, Mexico. Lopez enters the bout ranked No. 7 by the WBA, No. 13 by the IBF, and No. 15 by the WBC, continuing his rapid rise through the division.
“Najee is a special talent, a very athletic light heavyweight,” said ProBoxTV Founder and CEO Garry Jonas. “With his speed and power, we think he’s the future of the division. With him facing Gallegos, this is a rare Puerto Rico vs. Mexico matchup in the higher weight divisions. Najee’s whole family is from the Island and he’s very proud of his Puerto Rican heritage. This will be a super fun, high-energy fight for the fans. Najee is an entertaining action fighter rounding into championship form and this excellent test will continue his development. I can’t wait.”
Dominic Valle Faces Veteran Eduardo Ramirez in Co-Main Event
In the co-feature, unbeaten super featherweight Dominic Valle (12-0, 7 KOs) of Lutz, Florida, will face one of the toughest challenges of his career when he takes on seasoned Mexican contender Eduardo Ramirez (29-5-3, 14 KOs) in a 10-round clash.
“It’s nice to see Dominic Valle stepping up to 10 rounds,” continued Jonas. “He’s no longer a prospect; he’s stepping up to being an early-stage contender and continuing to develop into what we think will be a force in the division. He’s freakishly large and has a great motor. I’m excited he’s stepping up and it won’t be long before he’s at the top of the rankings.”
Additional Bouts on the Card
Also scheduled is an intriguing light heavyweight showdown between Cleveland’s undefeated Dante Benjamin (13-0-1, 9 KOs) and fellow unbeaten Angel Lozano (8-0, 6 KOs) of Pomona, California.
The event will also spotlight rising talent from the promotion’s Future Stars Series. Featured bouts include:
- Super welterweight Jeovanny Estela (14-2, 5 KOs) taking on Paraguay-based puncher Jorge Rodrigo Sosa (8-14, 8 KOs).
- Super bantamweight prospect Kenyan Valle (2-0, 1 KO) meeting Bosnia-born fighter Anel Dudo (4-6-1, 1 KO).
- Undefeated bantamweight knockout artist Christian Chessa (6-0, 6 KOs) appearing in separate action along with Florida prospect Miguel Paredes.
Tickets for The Contender Series at Osceola Heritage Park start at $68.70 plus applicable taxes and are available through Ticketmaster.
Najee Lopez Continues Rapid Rise
Considered one of boxing’s most promising young fighters, Lopez has built his entire professional career under the ProBoxTV banner.
Lopez began boxing at just six years old under the guidance of his father, Tito Lopez Sr. He compiled an impressive amateur career with 140 bouts, winning two U.S. amateur championships and capturing gold medals at the 2015 National Junior Olympics and the 2019 Olympic National Qualifiers, where he was also awarded the Outstanding Boxer honor.
Turning professional in 2021, the 26-year-old has taken the difficult route toward contention, frequently competing in highly competitive matchups. Known for his speed and knockout power, Lopez captured the WBA Continental North America Light Heavyweight Championship with a fifth-round TKO over Kalvin Henderson in September 2025 after previously stopping Gilbert Castillo Rivera in six rounds earlier in the year.
Lopez’s journey has not been without hardship. His father and longtime mentor, Tito Lopez Sr., passed away on December 12, 2020, at age 54, leaving Najee and his brothers Hakim and Casey to continue their careers without his direct guidance.
Gallegos Brings Veteran Experience
Standing in Lopez’s path is battle-tested Mexican contender Manuel Gallegos, an 11-year professional who has shared the ring with several top names.
Gallegos began his professional career in 2014 and won his first 17 fights in Mexico. In February 2023, he made his ProBoxTV debut against undefeated Richard Vansiclen, fighting to a majority draw in a competitive 10-round bout at the Whitesands Events Center in Florida.
Later that year, Gallegos challenged elite contender Diego Pacheco for the WBC USA and WBO International Super Middleweight titles but suffered a fourth-round TKO loss.
After moving up to light heavyweight, Gallegos split two memorable fights with rising prospect Khalil Coe. In November 2024, Gallegos handed Coe his first professional defeat with a stoppage victory to capture the WBC USA Light Heavyweight Championship. Coe later avenged the loss with a sixth-round stoppage in their May 2025 rematch.
Gallegos most recently scored a second-round knockout over Mexican veteran Cesar Chavez last December and now looks to derail Lopez’s climb toward a world title opportunity.
Valle’s Amateur Pedigree and Rising Career
Before turning professional in 2021, Dominic Valle compiled a standout amateur résumé. He won the 2016 National Silver Gloves and the 2018 National Junior Olympics, finishing with an impressive amateur record of 43-3.
A father and husband, Valle is also part of a fighting family alongside brothers Marques and Kenyan. He trains in Lutz, Florida, under coach Marc Farrait alongside fellow ProBoxTV fighters Najee Lopez and Darrelle Valsaint.
Outside the ring, Valle has also found success as a model, working with brands such as Nike, Adidas, Calvin Klein, ASOS, and campaigns associated with Michael Jordan.
Valle enters the March 13 event riding strong momentum after defeating veteran Rene Alvarado by unanimous decision in an eight-round bout last November at the RP Funding Center in Lakeland, Florida.
