#InTheMixedZone, Mia and Mariah Maxwell Talk Track with RunBlogRun!

The Maxwell twins, Mia and Mariah are two of the finest young sprinters in the country. This past weekend, at the USATF Indoor Championships, Mia took second (7.13, new U.S. high school record) and Mariah ran 7.14, in third (number 3 all time, U.S. high school record)

Mia and Mariah have caught the attention of track fans across the country.

Mariah Maxwell set an American high school record for 300 meters, of 36.24 seconds at the 2026 Virginia Showcase.

Mia Maxwell won the 200m National title at the 2025 USATF Under 20 National Championships, plus the 100 meter title at the NIKE outdoor nationals!

I met the Maxwells, in the Mixed Zone, and wanted to learn about how they train together, do they get into tussles like other sisters ( I grew up with twins, a third sister and a brother), and how they view the sport.

Mia and Mariah Maxwell were alot of fun. They will be competing in the NIKE Indoors (March 12-15, 2026) next week.
