The goaltending market is interesting
Kevin Weekes: “Per sources – Bobrovsky, Wallstedt, Ingram, Binnington, Stolarz and Skinner have been discussed in different potential trade scenarios. Goalie Market is intriguing.
The New York Rangers okay if they don’t trade Vincent Trocheck
Elliotte Friedman: “NYR have indicated they are prepared to keep Vincent Trocheck if they don’t get what they feel they need. Told teams, they are not trading him just for the sake of making a trade. Deadlines spur action…we will see what the day brings.”
NHL Rumors: Devils, Flyers, Predators, and the Top NHL Trade Targets
The Seattle Kraken have wanted to make a big move for a while
Jimmy Murphy: “Just based on numerous conversations I’ve had over the last two weeks, I wouldn’t count the #SeaKraken out in terms of making a big trade today. They have wanted to make a splash for a while.
I wonder about Jordan Kyrou or Robert Thomas.”
Teams keep calling about Ryan O’Reilly, but he wants to stay, and the offers haven’t been there
Pierre LeBrun: “Latest on Ryan O’Reilly, there hasn’t been a trade offer yet on the table for Nashville to consider seriously. Given the price paid for Nic Roy yesterday, it’s at least a 1st and a top prospect if not more for a team to get ROR. ROR could very well stay put (which I think he would prefer), but teams are calling…”

Thoughts on the St. Louis Blues
Jeremy Rutherford: Musings on the St. Louis Blues on deadline day.
- “It’s been quiet on the Thomas front. A few teams could make a last-ditch effort, otherwise this is headed to the offseason.
- It makes a lot of sense to trade Faulk today. Several right-shot D have been dealt, putting Faulk at top of teams’ wish-list.
- Re: Parayko I can’t see him waiving NTC after vetoing the Buffalo deal. My guess is it will get revisited in the offseason.
- It’s Hofer’s team, so Binnington likely to be moved at some point. Options limited now, but could open up in June.
- Schenn wants to stay, but realizes the Blues’ situation and would move, though only for the perfect spot. He deserves that.
- It’s been quiet, too, on Kyrou, but I believe the Blues are trying to move him. Will require best return, so like Thomas, no rush.
- If the Blues are going into a longer retool/rebuild, moving Buchnevich would be a top priority, but can they do it?
- Suter, Sundqvist, Fowler are also trade candidates, but won’t yield much in return. I just didn’t want to leave them off list.”
