The Klunkpackers is a video series from State Bicycle Co. that follows a group of friends bikepacking on loaded singlespeed State Klunkers. Episode one documented a three-day bikepacking adventure from North Bend, Washington, along the Palouse to Cascades Trail. We’re happy to see the series continuing with a second episode for another klunker/single-speed/coaster-brake-powered adventure.
Episode two of The Klunkpackers brings Jesse, Ryan, and Aaron to La Push, Washington, a small coastal community made famous by the Twilight movie series. Over three days and two nights, the group rides Washington’s Olympic Discovery Trail, crossing the Olympic Peninsula on a 150-mile journey from La Push to Port Townsend.
The 24-minute video is a refreshing reminder of what’s possible on a sub-$500 bicycle. Watch it above, produced by The Wanderous, and filmed/edited by Jesse Kipp.
