Joe Hendry continues to reign over NXT, defeating Ricky Saints tonight to keep a hold of his NXT Championship.
During NXT’s Vengeance Day, Hendry and Saints went at it again, and chaos ensued. Toward the end of the page, with both stars going back and forth, Ethan Page showed up. Page came down to the ring after Saints hit Joe with a DDT, and grabbed the NXT Championship from the podium.
Ricky was ecstatic, thinking he was going to give him the belt, but got rolled up by Hendry, and had to kick out.
Ricky then hit Hendry with a Spear, and yet again asked Ethan for the belt. Page threw it, but “accidentally” tossed it toward Hendry, causing the referee to see and put the belt away. As he did, Saints low blowed Hendry, and hit a Revolution DDT for a nearfall. Hendry went for his finisher, and Saints jumped into the ref, then threw Hendry into the ref for more chaos.
As the ref was covering up, Hendry kicked Saints in the groin, and then hit a Standing Ovation for the win.
