All twenty-two athletes competing at OKTAGON 85 successfully stepped onto the scale Friday ahead of Saturday’s stacked fight card in Barclays Arena in Hamburg. The arena is expected to be filled with more than 13,000 passionate fans as the European MMA powerhouse OKTAGON MMA delivers a card featuring a vacant title fight and several popular regional stars.

The event will stream globally on OKTAGON.TV.

Main Event: Bantamweight Gold on the Line

In the main event, controversial Brazilian contender Igor Severino (9-1) aims to complete his redemption story when he battles Khurshed Kakhorov (13-1) for the vacant bantamweight championship. Kakhorov enters the bout riding momentum after winning the PFL Europe tournament, setting up a high-stakes clash for the promotion’s 135-pound crown.

Co-Main Event: Eckerlin Returns

German superstar Christian Eckerlin (17-8, 1 NC) returns in the co-main event as he looks to bounce back in front of his home crowd. Eckerlin faces dangerous Muay Thai specialist Matouš Kohout (12-9) in an 80kg (176-pound) catchweight showdown.

Rising Prospects Collide

Two undefeated bantamweight prospects will also square off as Raul Lemberanskij (8-0) meets former GMC champion Ali Gündüz (6-0).

Elsewhere on the main card, all-action striker Deniz Ilbay (8-3) takes on Polish fighter Adrian Hamerski (4-2) at a 69kg (152-pound) catchweight bout.

On the preliminary card, Irish standout Denis Frimpong (7-3) clashes with Slovakia’s Tomáš Cigánik (7-3) at a 73kg catchweight.

Rising Slovak prospect Veronika Smolková (8-3) faces her toughest test yet when she meets Stephanie Egger (8-5), a former Ultimate Fighting Championship veteran. Egger missed weight by 0.7kg (2 pounds), but the fight will proceed as scheduled.

Also featured, Shawn Marcos da Silva (7-1) meets fellow newcomer Matheus Severino (14-5) in a flyweight contest.
