We’re already into Week 27 of the 30-week Elite Ice Hockey League regular season as we move into mid-March by the end of this week’s fixtures.
It’s a strange week across the league this time out, with no midweek fixtures and a schedule featuring four games on Friday night and just six across the rest of the weekend.
Friday night starts with Nottingham hosting basement side Fife Flyers at the Motorpoint Arena from 7pm. Half an hour later, Dundee have Guildford Flames as their visitors, while Cardiff head to Glasgow. In Manchester, Storm host Coventry Blaze as those teams battle for playoff seeding.
Saturday has just two games. Coventry are back home to play Glasgow in another matchup that will affect playoff seeding. In Sheffield, it’s a huge weekend between Sheffield Steelers and Belfast Giants, who will meet twice at the Utilita Arena. The teams are separated by just six points heading into their final games of the season.
On Sunday, Steelers and Giants do it all again. In Cardiff, Devils and Panthers clash as both aim to stay in the title race. Manchester head to Fife, while Guildford hosting Dundee rounds off the week.
