The road to crowning the Last Featherweight Standing continues when GLORY 106 takes place on March 28 from the historic Ryogoku Kokugikan. The event will feature the penultimate round of the GLORY x RISE Last Featherweight Standing tournament, where eight of the world’s top featherweight kickboxers will battle for a place in the final four later this year.

The tournament brings together elite talent from both GLORY Kickboxing and RISE, setting up several compelling rematches and generational showdowns inside one of Japan’s most iconic combat sports venues.

GLORY Bracket Features Two Long-Awaited Rematches

On the GLORY side of the bracket, reigning GLORY featherweight champion Petch (175-40-3, 27 KO) will once again face knockout artist Abraham Vidales (18-4, 14 KO). Their first meeting took place at GLORY: Collision 4 in 2022, where Petch successfully defended his title with a decision victory.

Also on the GLORY side, rising Portuguese star Miguel Trindade (64-8, 26 KO) will attempt to avenge his 2023 loss to the dangerous Berjan Peposhi (32-5, 16 KO). Since their first encounter, both fighters have been on impressive runs, making the rematch even more intriguing.

RISE Bracket Showcases Japan’s Best

The RISE portion of the tournament will see former GLORY title challenger Kento Haraguchi (28-6-1, 15 KO) square off against tournament newcomer Hiroki Kasahara (39-8-1, 17 KO), who has already gone 2-0 since joining the bracket in the provisional round.

Meanwhile, veteran South Korean standout Sung-hyun Lee (71-13-2, 17 KO) faces rising Japanese prospect Yura Kono (17-1, 9 KO). With a 12-year age gap, the matchup represents a classic clash between experience and youth.

The four winners from these quarterfinal bouts will advance to a four-man, one-night tournament later this year, where the ultimate champion of the Last Featherweight Standing tournament will be crowned.

Two Title Fights Headline the Card

Outside of the tournament, Shiro Matsumoto (55-17-4, 19 KO) will defend the RISE Bantamweight Championship against Koki Osaki (38-6-1, 21 KO) in the evening’s main event.

In the co-main event, rising star Ryujin Nasukawa (17-2, 9 KO) faces heavy-handed contender Kaito Hasegawa (15-2, 12 KO) for the vacant RISE Super Flyweight Championship.
