The ICC has announced the official Team of the Tournament for the T20 World Cup 2026, recognising the players who delivered the biggest performances during the event.
The team was selected by a panel that included Ian Bishop, Eoin Morgan, Natalie Germanos, Gaurav Saxena and Rex Clementine.

India’s Sanju Samson was named Player of the Tournament after scoring 321 runs at a strike rate above 199. His key innings came in the knockout stage against West Indies, England and New Zealand.

Hardik Pandya earned his place as an all-rounder after scoring 217 quick runs and taking nine wickets. His 23-ball fifty against Zimbabwe helped India reach a record 256 for 4, and he also took 2 for 16 against Pakistan.
England’s Will Jacks added balance to the side with both bat and ball. He scored 226 runs and picked up nine wickets, including an unbeaten 53 against Italy and a three-wicket haul against Sri Lanka.
West Indies all-rounder Jason Holder was another strong performer. He scored 141 runs and took 10 wickets, with his best bowling figures of 4 for 27 coming against Nepal.

South Africa pacer Lungi Ngidi claimed 12 wickets during the campaign. His best performance came early in the tournament with 4 for 31 against Canada, and he kept things tight even in games where he did not take wickets.
England leg-spinner Adil Rashid was the only specialist spinner in the team. He picked up 13 wickets and played a key role in Super Eight victories over Sri Lanka and New Zealand.
Zimbabwe fast bowler Blessing Muzarabani also took 13 wickets. His standout moment was a superb 4 for 17 in Zimbabwe’s famous win over Australia.
